Expectations vs Reality: The Ups and Downs of the First Post-Graduation Job

Amy Morris is a recent graduate from CWU earning a B.A. in both Public Relations and Digital Journalism. She also minored in Nonprofit Organizational Management. While at CWU she was an editor for The Observer and a Social Media Coordinator for The Wildcat Shop. She was also a member of SWAP, Her Campus, AUAP, and 88.1 The Burg. 

Since graduating college, she has been working as a Communications Coordinator for a nonprofit that helps families experiencing homelessness. Amy has always had a great passion for nonprofit work while applying her skills in making a positive impact. 

While getting a job right out of college has been an amazing experience, it also has come with its challenges. Amy will discuss the ups and downs of beginning her first post-grad job and share the differences between her reality vs her expectations of working in the nonprofit field.
